Part 3: Mountain Retreat
For the final part here, I had to cut a bit out.
We start on the northern pathway, continuing the Onderon theme from the entrance to the castle, interspersed with statues of notable raid bosses and holotrees.
In the ruins I placed an ancient forge. I felt this should be overgrown, unmaintained. This is where I first put Yavin Flora inside other decorations to give the impression of the undergrowth growing through the stones. Around the perimeter I lined the walls with vines. On the exterior I lined the walls with stone torches.
The first of the two large rooms is a Jedi Council chamber. I’ve had this table decoration for ages with no plans on what to do with it. To make the room feel more wonderous I moved an orrey table inside the larger council table, giving the impression of an actual council meeting with some high commanders, a general and the SIS commander. I placed Jedi in front of their seats, notable members of this council include Gnost-Dural and Nadia Grell. I tried not to overload the room with too much, I lined it with plants, trees and some fountains.
Next is a small lounge to break up the two wings of the retreat, and the next hall. I didn’t want to overload this with pictures of the hallway, but I felt I should get at least one in. In both you can see the recurring theme with the Onderon insignia on the wall. Two combined together, one upside-down to create a larger impression.
The second of the two large rooms is Hayley’s personal quarters. This is another room that has basically everything you need. I took many shots in this room to show everything I did here. As you walk into the room two fountains are combined, the bed is made up of three decorations, the bed, a rishi carving for the headboard and a shade. Lined with plants, a fireplace, rug and couches. In the right corner of the window I set up a small office. Combining two decorations into a nicer looking desk, a chair of my choosing, GTN, mail, a small library and the roots you see throughout the stronghold.
The last of the outer area I wanted to keep sparse. It’s not like this is the ideal place to grow trees. This is one of few places I really like the giant dead tree. In the back, and the last shot I took, is of a single solitary blooming tree which I based off the Weirwood Heart tree in Winterfell from A Song of Ice and Fire / Game of Thrones. A tree that blooms in extreme cold. To steer into that theme a bit more, wolves reside here. The vulptila mother and her pup.
That’s all for screenshots, of course there is a lot more to it, I just focused in on the more designer aspects of it. It’s publicly listed on the Satele Shan server.
