Ever a work in progress, but I figure the meat of it is finished. A few tweaks may be on the horizon, but I don’t think the place is an embarrassment, at least.
It started out as an idea for a library but expanded into a more overarching institution for learning. Someday, there may even be a proper label for it.
This place really needs to be seen and experienced in person! A phenomenal RP area designed for intelligent discourse and information dissemination! I hope it gets lots of use! I am eager to meet those who want to use it in-character.
The one amazing thing I like from this SH was the mixture of the temple fountains. The rest wasn’t that great, perhaps the creativity of the fountain gave me high standards for the rest of your pictures.
Looks at lot like most other Nar Shadaa SHs. Maybe because of the palm trees, but probably just needs more chandeliers, and you need at least one room with rows of those archive bookshelves. Looks a bit sparse/casual for a place of learning.
Thanks for the feedback! I do want to change out the lights at some point, but alas, the expense is somewhat prohibitive there. As to the point looking for row upon row of items, I’d agree if they were proper bookshelves rather than what appear (to me) to be electronic media. Proper books don’t show up all that much in Star Wars, apparently. Meh. Someday, sometime, eventually, possibly, maybe.
Check out the Jedi temple library in the movies, they’ve certainly got row upon row of those bookshelves. And yes they are bookshelves, just a Star Wars version.
I’ve since tweaked it a bit, but unfortunately I don’t know how to replace pictures or any of that rot; New to the site, didn’t know what I was doing, what-have-you. In any case, the ‘cantina booths’ have been replaced with Republic Data Storage Units and a shielded data core has been placed further in to serve as a sort of ‘data backup’ for the entire archive.
That’s the idea, anyway.
