Will there be missions to get these? Will they only be available after the patch? Also, if there is no specific mission to get these light datacrons, are we just picking up all the heroics and hoping it drops?
its not just heroics ive been running on hoth after the patch and just happened to pick up two light aim datacrons they drop off of slightly harder mobs i think i had one drop off a silver mob

To get these datacrons from missions would be more proper, otherwise having a chance to get them with need/greed in heroics is equal to a lottery.
We had one drop tonight from that Ancient Probe Droid that does that circuitous loop in the West of Hoth. The one you need to kill in order to get the Depleted Datacron Core for use with the charging station in the East of Hoth.

Iv collected him from a White Mav Commander (even not a strong mob! ), in “Star of Coruscant” starship ruins, while doin class quest (bounty hunter)
Heroic 4: The Big Find. There’s a chest that spawns regularly behind him. Log in on an alt, loot the chest, log out. Proceed to collect datacrons in large quantities. 😉
I don’t really understand that farming,maybe video tut for that kind of farming?

I just got the Endurance Light Datacron soloing in the Seed area on Voss. It was in a lockbox and it wasn’t necessary to fight anything.
…And I just got one from defeating Tarkunis The Watcher on Voss (same light datacron).
